EVIDn connects the dots
EVIDn connects the dots
A single network connection carries power, audio and data to Electro-Voice’s EVIDn loudspeakers, a new nine-model family designed for network-managed commercial audio installations. The range covers ceiling, surface-mount and pendant formats, allowing integrators to select different form factors while retaining a common PoE+ architecture.
Each loudspeaker incorporates amplification, DSP, signal protection and network audio transport, eliminating the requirement for a separate amplifier room. The models are pre-tuned to their passive EVID equivalents, while Dynamic EQ is used to maintain tonal balance as listening levels change.
EVIDn supports Dante and AES67 for integration with networked audio systems. PoE+ Class 4 provides up to 30W to each loudspeaker, with standard PoE compatibility also supported. Network security features include 802.1X authentication, while configuration, monitoring and management are handled through a browser-based web interface without requiring dedicated software. The surface-mount model carries an IP65 rating for indoor and outdoor applications.
Installation features include Electro-Voice’s SwiftLock mounting system, designed for single person installation. Tile rails, mounting rings and magnetic grilles are included, while support for fully terminated Ethernet cables is intended to simplify deployment.
The loudspeakers can be individually addressed for software-based tuning and monitoring, allowing settings to be adjusted as spaces or system requirements change.
Ceiling and surface-mount models are scheduled to become available globally from early 2027, with pendant models following later in the year. The range is covered by a three-year warranty.
