Luminex unites AV networks

Luminex has introduced two additions to its GigaCore portfolio: the GigaCore 026-1 and GigaCore S30-1. The solutions were showcased during IBC2026 in Amsterdam, where the brand held live demonstrations to demonstrate converged AV networking solutions, highlighting how video, audio, lighting and control data can share a single infrastructure.

The live demonstration featured multiple PTPv2 clock instances and support for NDI, IPMX, RAVENNA/AES67 and ST 2110 protocols. Solutions from technology partners including Lawo, DirectOut, Matrox, Meyer Sound and Meinberg highlighted interoperability across broadcast, professional AV and live production environments.

At the centre of the demonstration was Luminex’s GigaCore, Araneo GigaCore and Araneo Studio systems, which are designed to support the integration of diverse networked systems.

The GigaCore 026-1 is designed for professional AV, broadcast and live event applications, while the GigaCore S30-1 joins the range as another option for network infrastructure in demanding production environments.

Both switches form part of Luminex’s focus on purpose-built networking for professional applications, with an emphasis on interoperability, deployment flexibility and reliable performance.
