Christie upgrades Shanghai showroom

China:

Christie has refurbished its Shanghai showroom to support product demonstrations, training and technical collaboration, with dedicated areas for projection, multiprojector displays and immersive applications.

Spanning approximately 3,000m2, the facility will host open house events, application workshops and training sessions for partners and customers in Eastern China and beyond. It can also be reconfigured for projector maintenance and servicing.

“The new showroom now provides our partners and customers with a permanent and convenient environment to explore Christie technologies,” said Gene Wang, senior director of pro AV sales, China, Christie. “By showcasing real-world applications and facilitating face-to-face discussions, we aim to help customers understand how Christie projection solutions can support their projects and inspire new possibilities.”

The showroom’s Eclipse G3 demonstration zone compares Christie’s RGB pure laser projection system with a conventional projector, focusing on black levels, colour depth and HDR performance.

A second zone provides demonstrations of the manufacturer’s projector portfolio, including the Griffyn, M 4K RGB, Korus, Jazz and Inspire Series. Up to four projectors can operate simultaneously for comparisons across brightness levels, resolutions and deployment scenarios.

The third area features a 3m-diameter hemispherical dome powered by four Korus projectors in a blended configuration. Christie Mystique automated alignment and calibration technology supports the installation and maintenance of the multiprojector display.

“With the growing adoption of immersive displays and multiprojector environments, users are placing greater emphasis on deployment efficiency and ease of maintenance,” commented Steven Sheng, senior technical and service manager, China, Christie. “The Shanghai showroom highlights Christie’s capabilities in multiprojector displays and automated alignment, while providing an ideal setting for training, solution evaluation and knowledge sharing.”

The facility will support applications spanning cultural tourism, themed entertainment, museums, experience centres, corporate spaces and large venues.
