YoloBox Extreme powers Kazakhstan church livestream

МСЦ ЕХБ in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, has deployed a YoloBox Extreme to manage its Sunday service livestreams, combining four camera sources, NDI PTZs, custom graphics and bonded streaming in a single production system.

Wladimir Romanov directs the services from the church’s upper balcony, using the all-in-one device to switch between two Canon PTZ cameras, two HDMI camera sources and pre-recorded content. The setup supports the church’s services, which feature a brass orchestra, multiple camera angles and Russian language overlays.

The core system comprises a YoloBox Extreme for switching, 4K recording, livestreaming and graphics, alongside a Canon RC-IP100 PTZ joystick controller. The camera system includes Canon CR-N300 and CR-N500 broadcast PTZ cameras using NDI, plus two Canon DSLR, mirrorless or camcorder sources connected via HDMI.

Additional sources include four still images and a video file for opening sequences, scripture cards and interstitial content. Overlays provide speaker names, song lyrics, a pre-service countdown and the Russian-language welcome title “Приветствуем Вас”.

The YoloBox Extreme combines wired Ethernet and a 4G dongle through network bonding for streaming. The system also records in 4K while livestreaming, providing an archive of the service without a separate recording device.

The new compact setup allows the church to operate its production from a confined balcony position, while the touchscreen interface is intended to support operation by rotating volunteers. Native NDI support connects the Canon PTZ cameras without additional conversion hardware.

Romanov also uses the device’s LUT feature to match camera images from different sources. “One of the features I liked was the LUT feature. I had a problem with Canon cameras before; their images weren't as vibrant as Sony's. Using LUT, I was able to get more similar coloured images from different cameras,” he explained.
