ChamSys rebuilds MediaMaster for 26.0

The first full production release of the media server platform since its acquisition by ChamSys in 2025 has been introduced with MediaMaster 26.0. The software has been rebuilt around a new user interface intended to simplify operation in studio and touring environments, alongside revised project and workspace tools for organising shows, media assets and layouts. Custom GDTF fixture export has also been introduced, while the ChamSys Heads library is now incorporated into the MediaMaster LED Mapper to provide a pre-built fixture database for pixel-mapping applications.

For larger productions, MediaMaster 26.0 supports up to 48 layers of 4K HDR media playback with blending and composition capabilities. Video and pixel mapping are combined within the platform, with Art-Net and sACN control alongside support for CITP and NDI.

Alongside the release of MediaMaster 26.0, the manufacturer has also started production of its MediaMasterVS range of dedicated media servers. Three models are available, ranging from the 1U VS1+ with a single 4K output to the VS4+, which provides four 4K outputs and can be equipped with optional SDI/HDMI input capture cards.

Looking ahead, the forthcoming MediaMaster 26.1 release will add USB-MIDI support, further developments to the native SAGA codec and support for the CRA-compliant Sig-Net protocol. ChamSys is also working towards restoring native macOS support with MediaMaster 27.0.
