ETC gives Hog a hybrid upgrade

Operating either as a rackmounted console or as a DMX processor for another Hog console, ETC’s HPU+ combines standalone control with the ability to add 64 universes to an existing Hog system. Replacing the original HPU, the hybrid processor has been redesigned with a simplified mechanical construction intended to improve serviceability and durability on the road. Rear-panel I/O has also been brought into line with ETC's newer Hog consoles, adding etherCON connectors, opticalCON Duo fibre connectivity, an integrated LTC/SMPTE connection and TRUE1 TOP power input.

In its rackmounted console role, the HPU+ is aimed at installations where a permanent hardware control surface is unnecessary, including cruise ships and theme parks. Alternatively, it can operate as a DMX Processor to expand the capacity of another Hog family console. Existing HPU units are moving into legacy status but will continue to operate and receive software updates. The HPU+ is covered by ETC's five-year warranty.
