Mónica de la Fuente appointed CEO of AEQ

AEQ has appointed Mónica de la Fuente as its new CEO, placing the company's former head of marketing and communications at the helm as it looks to expand its presence in domestic and international markets. De la Fuente has spent more than 10 years with AEQ and has a wider background in the audiovisual sector beginning in film production. Her appointment was announced during IBC 2026, where the company presented new products including a radio console and multi-conference systems platform.

“Taking on the role of CEO at AEQ is a great responsibility and, at the same time, a source of immense excitement,” said de la Fuente. “We have solid experience, a great team and a very close relationship with our customers. This closeness allows us to listen to the market, identify new trends and move forward to offer solutions that increasingly meet users' needs.”

De la Fuente becomes the first woman to serve as CEO of AEQ during the company's more than 45-year history. Her priorities in the role will include strengthening AEQ's market position, supporting its technological development and consolidating relationships with customers and partners.

“We want to leverage all of these strengths to continue growing and building the brand's future,” she added.
