ISE 2027 expands show floor as AV boundaries continue to blur

As the show expands its focus beyond traditional AV into broadcast, content production, creative technology and other increasingly connected sectors, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) will return to Barcelona from 2–5 February 2027 with an exhibition floor already 7% larger than in 2026. Running under the theme When Worlds Unite, ISE 2027 will maximise its available footprint at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, including the return of exhibition space at the East Access and a new Outdoor Structure at South Access. The event will also expand into Hall 8 at Fira Montjuïc, which will host the returning Spark programme and EdTech Congress Barcelona on 3–4 February.

“The most interesting opportunities increasingly exist at the points where different disciplines meet,” commented Mike Blackman, managing director of Integrated Systems Events.

Spark will return with a significantly expanded programme connecting the AV industry with professionals working across creative technology, immersive experiences, content, entertainment and gaming. Its 2027 edition will feature two stages, an immersive pavilion and live showcases across an enlarged show floor.

The organisers are also introducing a Broadcast Enterprise Studio in Hall 4, powered by AVIXA TV, reflecting the increasing overlap between AV, broadcast, IT and content production. The studio will demonstrate technologies and workflows for enterprise content including podcasts, sit-down conversations and stand-up productions, with areas spanning cameras, microphones, lighting, switching, branding, captioning, AV distribution, streaming and editing.

The show's content programme will also grow for 2027. Its Megatrends programme will double in size, covering AI, robotics and machine learning, cybersecurity, smart spaces, sustainability and tradescape. Dedicated half-day summits will focus on digital signage, cybersecurity and control rooms, while the four-day CEDIA Smart Home Technology Conference will return alongside an expanded Open Content Programme.

Three keynote sessions have so far been outlined. Former Google chief business officer Mo Gawdat will deliver the Tuesday Business Keynote, while Crestron will bring FC Barcelona CIO Miriam Ferrando to the stage on Wednesday. A Creative Keynote connected with ISE's work with Casa Batlló will be announced later.
