PPDS opens up dvLED with Unite 3000 Series

Providing a more accessible route into 16:9 dvLED, PPDS has introduced the Philips Unite LED 3000 Series, with four pixel pitches targeting indoor applications across corporate, retail, education, hospitality, transportation, events and public venues. The panels are described as “economically pleasing and easy on the eye”, designed to deliver impactful visual experiences in a highly competitive market.

The COB range is available in 0.9mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm and 1.8mm pixel pitches. The three finer-pitch models provide 600 nits of brightness and a 3,840Hz refresh rate, while the 1.8mm version increases brightness to 1000 nits and the refresh rate to 7,680Hz.

Common cathode technology has been used to improve energy efficiency while supporting colour accuracy and stability. The panels provide a 96% colour gamut and incorporate adaptive brightness, automatically adjusting output according to ambient lighting conditions to reduce unnecessary power consumption.

For installations in more demanding environments, the Unite LED 3000 Series carries an IP54 ingress protection rating at the front and IP31 at the rear. Both front and rear service access are provided, with individual modules removable using the supplied T-hex tool to provide access to the power supply, hub boardand wiring.
