CYP adds USB-C connectivity to HyLinX 1G

Cypress Technology (CYP) has expanded its HyLinX 1G AV-over-IP platform with the AVIP-A4602E, a transmitter supporting HDMI and USB-C video inputs alongside AV and USB data connectivity via USB-C.

Available in a standard box format US, UK and EU gang versions, the AVIP-A4602E supports laptop connectivity through HDMI or USB-C. The USB-C connection can carry video and USB data, allowing connected devices to access shared USB peripherals without a separate USB connection.

In a meeting room, for example, a PTZ camera or other USB peripheral can be connected to the HyLinX system, while a laptop connected via USB-C can display content and access the peripheral through the same connection.

The AVIP-A4602E also supports the KVM-over-IP and Multi-Source Access functions available across the HyLinX 1G platform. In control rooms and multi-PC environments, operators can access and control networked sources and USB peripherals from a single workstation.

The transmitter builds on the HDMI connectivity of the existing AVIP-A4601E-B1C, adding USB-C source connectivity and combined AV and USB data over a single connection. It is intended for installations incorporating USB-C equipped laptops and other devices.

The AVIP-A4602E adds USB-C connectivity to the existing HyLinX 1G platform, alongside its established HDMI, KVM-over-IP and Multi-Source Access functions.
