Greater third-party control is at the centre of SSL’s System T V4.3 software update, with comprehensive Open Sound Control (OSC) integration allowing broadcasters to access console parameters from external mixers and controllers over standard IP networks. The implementation provides control of functions including faders, mutes, PFL, AFL and path labels, with further functionality available through System T's Event Manager.

Native OSC inputs and outputs allow messages to trigger and respond to events alongside GPIO, Ember+ and MIDI, while scenes can be recalled directly by number. External mic preamp control also extends OSC integration across SSL's Net I/O ecosystem.

System T's meter bridge has also been updated, including a follow active fader bank option for S500 and S500m consoles that provides dynamic metering according to the selected sources and surface layout. SSL's Bus Compressor Effect Meter can also now be displayed directly on the meter bridge.

The release extends the platform's bussing architecture by giving Track buses the same independent per-channel send level capabilities as stem and aux buses. Permanent Path Linking, brought across from the Live console ecosystem, provides up to 48 permanent link groups between paths, while showfile capacity has increased to 500 scenes. Also moving across from the Live platform is SolidPitch, an onboard vocal tuning and processing effect supporting pitch correction and creative treatments including tuner, doubler and harmoniser functions. SolidPitch is available throughout the System T ecosystem, including the Virtual Tempest Engine.

A new remote power-off function completes the update, allowing consoles to be scheduled to shut down safely at the end of a broadcast or event.
