Phenyx Pro expands wireless monitoring line

The PTM-10 GEN2 and PTM-20 from Phenyx Pro are UHF wireless in-ear monitor systems built on the same platform. The PTM-10 GEN2 is a single-channel system for solo performers and simpler setups, while the PTM-20 adds a second independent channel for bands, worship teams and other multi-performer stages. Both are built to bring stereo, low-noise in-ear monitoring to houses of worship, small live music venues, rehearsal spaces and touring acts that have outgrown wired monitors but don’t need or want to pay for a flagship system.

Both systems share the same UHF platform. Auto Scan finds a clean frequency before the show starts, while three-level RF power adjusts output for anything from a large stage to a small room. Features including 63 channels across the 555–575MHz band, up to 30mW of transmit power and a range of up to 50m keep interference, dropouts and dead zones out of the mix. The PTM-20’s transmitter scales from two up to 2N bodypacks, so productions can add performers as they grow.

The real difference between the two systems is how many mixes they carry. The PTM-10 GEN2 runs a single, high-quality mix, enough for a solo vocalist, a host or a drummer who needs a dedicated feed. The PTM-20 splits that into two independent mixes on its A/B channels, so a duo act or a vocalist and drummer in a larger band no longer have to share one blend.

Both the PTM-10 GEN2’s single mix and each of the PTM-20’s two mixes support the same mono/stereo switching, so performers can choose a focused mono feed or a wider stereo image with more than 40dB of channel separation. A 50Hz–18kHz (±3dB) frequency response, a signal-to-noise ratio of ≥88dB and less than 1% total harmonic distortion keep every mix clean, while up to 70mW of output gives most in-ear headphones enough drive to stay clear on a loud stage.

Each transmitter connects to a mixer or audio interface through XLR/6.35mm combo inputs, and both systems support rack mounting for permanent installs or touring racks. Every kit ships with a transmitter, bodypack receiver, antenna, power supply, batteries, manual and a half-rack mounting kit. The PTM-10 GEN2 kit also includes a hard carrying case.
