Theory Professional arrives in Thailand
Theory Professional has announced the appointment of Sonos Libra as its exclusive distribution sales partner in Thailand. Incepted by CEO Paul Hales, the Californian loudspeaker brand has been a consistent exhibitor in recent years both at the InfoComm and ISE exhibitions.
As one of the many demo room attendees at this years’ ISE in Barcelona, Sonos Libra chief and founder Alfonso Martín recalled the demo: “I was familiar with Theory Audio's residential line, but less so with their professional range. This year at ISE, our team listened to their professional line and we were all thoroughly impressed with the sound quality. The output levels and clarity from commercial audio products were unsurpassed and we unanimously agreed it was the best-sounding demo at the entire show. Listening to the ic6v2 speakers with the pendant ceiling mount combined with the ic12 hanging subs were a revelation.”
Former Adamson Systems Engineering CEO and industry veteran Marc Bertrand played a significant part in his current role as Theory Professional’s chief operating officer. “We built a great relationship during his years at Adamson and have maintained contact ever since,” continued Martín. “Having met at this year’s ISE, I was delighted to connect with someone so prominent in our industry and came away impressed by the uncompromising approach that Theory Pro brings to product development.”
With an extensive catalogue including Adamson, Allen & Heath, Bluesound Professional, Direct Out, Earthworks and Klotz ais, Sonos Libra has been proactive in the Thai market since its inception in 2017. “We previously struggled to find satisfactory commercial audio solutions,” explained Martín. “However, after hearing Theory Audio’s products and reviewing their build quality, electronics and controls, we knew they were the perfect fit for our portfolio, and we can now support conventional and commercial applications without compromising on audio quality.”
