Sun Infonet launches Meyer Sound Tigra in India
Sun Infonet, Meyer Sound’s authorised distributor in India, has launched the manufacturer’s Tigra line array in New Delhi, with a demonstration attended by rental company representatives and audio engineers.
Taking place last month, the event marked the Indian launch of Tigra which was previewed at NAMM Show in January 2026. The system is positioned as a smaller-scale option within Meyer Sound’s line array portfolio, targeting applications including festival stages, houses of worship, theatres and convention centres.
For the launch, Tigra was flown alongside 2100-LFC low-frequency control elements and demonstrated across a programme spanning rock and Bollywood material. The demonstration featured Rohit Kulkarni’s band Flipside, which was joined by Bollywood composer Salim Merchant for a special performance. Merchant is involved in the Bhoomi Project 2026, curated by Salim-Sulaiman, for which Meyer Sound and Shure, both distributed in India by Sun Infonet, are official audio partners.
“I love what Meyer Sound is innovating for the live audio industry globally,” Merchant said. “Our collaboration with Neeraj and the Sun Infonet team on Bhoomi 2026 has genuinely raised the bar for performance and production. Hearing the Meyer Leopards on the Bhoomi production set was a wow moment, and now, hearing Tigra, I'm just as impressed. The clarity, the precision and the tightness of these boxes speaks for itself. I'd love to perform on Meyer Sound again, knowing I have the full support of the Sun Infonet team – they're simply the best in the industry."
Andrea Granata, Meyer Sound’s sales manager for the MEA and India, worked with Sun Infonet on the launch. “Watching Tigra come to life in front of an audience confirmed everything we'd hoped for with this platform,” he said. “Bringing Galileo Galaxy processing onboard fundamentally changes how quickly a system can be deployed and that matters enormously in a market like India, where our partners move between rental, corporate and touring gigs, often in the same week. What struck me most was the low end – that same controlled cardioid pattern we built our reputation on with Panther, paired Tigra with the 2100-LFC, gave the band real headroom without ever losing tightness or control. Sun Infonet has been an extraordinary partner for us and I genuinely believe Tigra is positioned to become one of the most versatile systems in India's live audio industry.”
Sun Infonet’s application and marketing teams supporting the launch included Kallol Nath, Jeremy Rana, Jonathan James and Hemant Gaba. “I was part of the Panther launch back in 2024 in India and now playing at the forefront for the Tigra launch was a personal and professional journey for me at Sun Infonet,” concluded Nath. “People have heard Tigra and now they would look forward to hearing it during season time in India. We at Sun Infonet believe that after-sales support and promotional activities would be a strong factor in making Tigra part of top acts' tech riders.”
