Crest Audio unlocks Attika’s speakeasy sound

A speakeasy-inspired Bali venue has turned to Crest Audio to balance the demands of late-night DJ sets with a more intimate atmosphere. Attika, located above La Favela in Seminyak, has installed a system based around the brand’s Versarray loudspeakers.

Opened in 2017, Attika occupies the third floor of La Favela and combines low lighting, dark wood, leather furnishings and antique details with a programme that moves from cocktails and conversation to late-night DJ performances. This required an audio system capable of delivering low-frequency impact and headroom while maintaining controlled coverage at lower levels.

Versarray 112 MK III passive 2-way ribbon line-array modules form the main system. Each module combines a 12-inch Neo Black Widow woofer with two RD 2.6 MK III ribbon tweeters, with adjustable rigging allowing the arrays to be configured around the room. Additional coverage is provided by Crest Audio CPL 12+, CPL 8+ and CA 218 PRO cabinets alongside Peavey PVXp 10 DSP, PVs 15 SUB and PCX 88 units.

Power is supplied by the manufacturer’s Pro-LITE amplifiers, while system management is handled through a PCX platform with Dante. Located on the ground floor, the processor controls the upstairs audio system over the network, providing access to DSP and networked audio without requiring the processing equipment to be installed in the venue itself.
