Lightware enhances flexible room automation

With the launch of LARA (Lightware Advanced Room Automation) 2.0, Lightware has upgraded its built-in room automation platform, by introducing improved processing capabilities in addition to the latest monitoring, security and logging features. LARA 2.0 builds on the existing room automation capabilities of LARA through a redesigned architecture that improves processing efficiency, reportedly enabling more advanced configurations and greater flexibility when designing in-room automation solutions.

The switch from a multi-threaded to a single-threaded processing model is also said to create a stronger foundation for future feature development. LARA 2.0 has been designed to provide greater visibility into system performance, making it easier to verify designs, answer client questions and plan future upgrades. Aiding teams to assess system capacity and make informed decisions during commissioning, a built-in resource monitoring tool provides visibility into actual CPU and memory usage within a live system.
