GE Enterprises adds DAS Audio Event system
Expanding its DAS Audio arsenal, Mangalore-based GE Enterprises has invested in an Event Series system. Supplied by StageMix Technologies, the new inventory includes eight Event-30A line array elements and four Event-S218A subwoofers.
The investment builds on the company’s existing DAS Audio inventory, which also includes the Aero 40 system. The latest addition is configured for applications including professional events and rental work, combining the Event-30A arrays with dedicated low-frequency reinforcement.
Each Event-30A is a self-powered 2 x 10-inch system incorporating two 10-inch neodymium LF drivers and dual M-60 compression drivers. Amplification is provided by a 2,000W peak Class D amplifier, with onboard 24-bit DSP supporting FIR processing, DAScontrol and Smart Self-Tuning.
The four Event-S218A subwoofers extend the system’s low-frequency capability, with each enclosure housing two 18-inch neodymium transducers in a front-loaded bass-reflex configuration. Dedicated DSP presets support cardioid configurations, allowing the low-frequency output to be configured for different deployment requirements.
The addition gives GE Enterprises a combination of line-array and subwoofer components that can be deployed as a complete system or alongside the company’s existing equipment.
