USSI Global appoints Ed McGivern as CRO

USSI Global has appointed Ed McGivern as chief revenue officer, tasking the media technology executive with leading its go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition and revenue growth.

McGivern brings more than 25 years of commercial leadership experience, including senior roles at Harris Broadcast/Imagine Communications, Grass Valley/Snell Advanced Media and Tektronix. Most recently, he launched and led Appear US.

In his new role, McGivern will report to president and CEO Anthony Morelli who noted that the appointment comes as customers prepare for another C-band transition and reassess their technology infrastructure. At the company, McGivern will also be tasked with developing business in government, sports and live events.

“The commercial strategy starts with understanding the customer’s business and making USSI Global easy to work with,” commented McGivern. “Customers don’t want to navigate complicated organisations. They want partners that understand what they are trying to achieve, can bring the right expertise to the table and can remain engaged throughout the lifecycle of the project. That customer-first approach has guided me throughout my career and it fits extremely well with the way USSI Global does business.”

McGivern said he will draw on the company’s engineering, logistics and technology partnerships to help customers deploy and manage infrastructure as their operational requirements evolve. “USSI Global fills important gaps for media customers, government organisations, retail media, technology partners and other customers that need specialised engineering, logistics and managed services and support,” he concluded. “We can help implement the infrastructure, but just as importantly, we can help customers manage what comes next.”
