L-ISA training programme held in India for first time

India:

Hi-Tech Audio and Image hosted L-Acoustics L-ISA technology training in New Delhi, which took place on the 7–8 October. This marked the first time that this type of specialised training has been held in India.

The two-day training course focussed on helping audio professionals develop a deeper understanding of immersive sound and the technology behind it, with the programme being structured around two key areas of learning. Day one concentrated on introducing L-ISA technology and the principles of immersive audio, whilst the second day focused on L-ISA loudspeaker system design and implementation.

The event was led by Adriaan van der Walt, L-ISA and immersive audio engineer at L-Acoustics, who was able to use his engineering experience to demonstrate how these concepts translate into professional practice. He structured curriculum with examples from his own professional workflow, which gave participants the opportunity to understand the technical process and how different decisions influence the implementation and performance of an immersive system.

“What I enjoyed about this training was the opportunity to explore the technology from different perspectives, moving from the fundamentals to system design and the listening experience. Sharing practical examples from my own work also allowed us to look at the considerations that come into play when bringing an immersive system to life,” van der Walt said.

“During the L-ISA training, Adriaan shared practical insights from his own work as a system engineer, giving participants a better understanding of the thought process behind immersive system design and calibration. We hope these learnings encourage our engineers to explore new approaches and contribute to raising the standards of sound system engineering in India,” said Rajan Gupta, founder and CEO of Hi-Tech Audio and Image.

“The training offered participants a closer look at the system, its capabilities and the technical considerations behind its implementation. This understanding is important as we work with customers and partners to explore solutions that align with their requirements and the evolving demands of the market,” Nirdosh Aggarwal, Managing Partner, Hi-Tech Audio & Image, added.
