Vitec personalises guest experience at Rixos Jeddah
Personalised in-room entertainment, multilingual welcome messages and direct access to hotel services are among the features of an IPTV and digital signage deployment at Rixos Obhur Jeddah Resort, where Vitec has integrated its platform with the property management system (PMS).
The five-star, all-inclusive resort in Obhur Bay is part of the Accor Group and features 250 residential units, including rooms, suites and villas. The installation covers in-room entertainment and communication, alongside digital signage in communal areas such as the lobby, spa, fitness centre, restaurants and lounges.
As an approved technology partner of Accor, Vitec was selected to provide a centrally managed platform capable of delivering live TV, video-on-demand and personalised guest services while integrating with the hotel’s existing systems.
“Rixos Obhur was seeking a robust, futureproof system that could elevate the guest journey and streamline hotel operations,” noted Victor Hasan, senior key account manager at Vitec. “Our platform’s customisable IPTV portal and proven PMS integration made it the ideal fit for the hotel’s evolving needs.”
The PMS integration enables the system to recognise guest profiles at check-in and display welcome messages on in-room televisions in each guest’s preferred language. Guests can also use their TVs to access services including room service, spa bookings and concierge requests, without having to contact reception.
The platform supports multilingual content and centrally managed promotional material, while large-format displays in public areas provide real-time information, event schedules and branded content. Its modular architecture is designed to accommodate future expansion and changing requirements.
Since going live, the resort has reported increased guest satisfaction scores and a reduction in manual service calls. The ability to request services directly from guest rooms has also contributed to more efficient hotel operations.
