Daktronics announces Amar G Subash as VP of international sales
Digital display and control system technology manufacturer, Daktronics, has named Amar G Subash as its vice president of international sales. Based in London, Subash will lead international sales strategy and execution while building market expansion and partnership opportunities.
Bringing over two decades of global experience to Daktronics, Subash brings a track record of driving business growth, directing market strategy and building project pipelines across key market segments and regions. He most recently served as vice president and general manager for EMEA and India at Harman Professional Solutions and previously held a similar role for Asia Pacific and India.
“As Daktronics pursues targeted international expansion, Amar brings proven leadership in key global markets,” commented Daktronics president and CEO, Ramesh Jayaraman. “I have worked with Amar for more than a decade, and his track record of accelerating profitable growth, knowledge and relationships in the AV industry, building strong teams and strengthening customer engagement will enable us to continue to deliver and expand the Daktronics value proposition to customers around the world.”
Earlier in his career, Subash served as general manager and chief financial officer for Tyco Fire & Security and as senior manager of finance for Lucent Technologies India. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Nagpur University, he is excited to join Daktronics and lead its international sales organisation. “The company has built a strong global presence across its business segments, and I look forward to working with our teams and partners worldwide to strengthen customer relationships, enter new markets and create new opportunities for sustained profitable growth.”
Founded in 1968, the US-based manufacturing company is known for its large-format LED video displays, message displays, scoreboards, digital billboards, audio systems and control systems in sport, business and transportation applications. Ensuring continuity for Daktronics’ customers, business partners and team, outgoing vice president of international sales, Judd Guthmiller, is currently playing a key role during a brief transitionary period.
Commenting on Guthmiller’s departure, Jayaraman added: “Judd built a strong dedicated team, scaled the business and expanded our presence in some of the most iconic sites in the world. As a valued colleague, we wish Judd the very best as he leaves Daktronics to pursue a new chapter.”
