Visionary Solutions and tvONE have partnered to integrate the former’s 5 Series AV-over-IP platform with tvONE’s CALICO PRO video processors for networked videowall applications.

The integration enables video sources distributed across a Visionary network to be routed to CALICO PRO for processing and display. The manufacturer’s 5 Series Decoders deliver HDMI signals to the processors, while their HDMI outputs can feed 5 Series Encoders for distribution to displays across the network.

tvONE’s engineering team tested the endpoints with its input and output modules, assessing resolutions, frame rates, Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) and image quality. The evaluations confirmed interoperability across the configurations tested, including the transport of 4K video over a gigabit network.

“Integrators need to know how products will work together across the complete signal path,” said Scott Freshman, chief operating officer for Visionary. “Our work with tvONE provides a validated connection between Visionary’s AV-over-IP distribution and CALICO PRO’s video processing, whether they are bringing sources into a videowall or distributing its output to other displays.”

Bob Bonniol, chief innovation officer at ACT Entertainment, added: “CALICO PRO is built to streamline complex signal environments and this integration extends that into networked AV-over-IP infrastructure. Integrators now have a path for feeding Visionary’s distributed sources into a videowall and sending processed output back out to displays across a facility.”

The combined workflow is intended for applications such as control rooms, allowing sources from different network locations to feed a centralised processor. CALICO PRO manages the arrangement of sources across a videowall, while Visionary 5 Series handles signal transport between source locations, the processor and remote displays.
