Wharfedale Pro brings immersive audio expertise to Soundcheck 2026
Wharfedale Pro has strengthened its partnership with regional distributor Techniline at Soundcheck 2026, a week-long programme of technical training, product demonstrations and industry networking in Dubai, with the company’s WPI immersive audio system taking centre stage.
Hosted by Techniline, the programme covered amplifier and DSP fundamentals, system configuration and Wharfedale Pro’s DSP Controller software, including group control and Smaart API integration. Sessions also explored point source and line source loudspeaker principles, system prediction and mapping using EASE Focus 3 and EASE 5, before progressing into spatial audio and immersive system design. Leading the training were Marko Jovanvic, applications and solutions engineer, and Simon Godfrey, global sales director at Wharfedale Pro.
“There’s a real difference between reading about a technology and actually getting your hands on it,” said Godfrey. “That’s particularly true with immersive audio. Demonstrating WPI in person and working directly with the people designing and installing these systems makes this kind of training incredibly valuable. Techniline did a fantastic job of bringing everyone together for Soundcheck 2026. From the technical sessions to the gala dinner, the enthusiasm, technical knowledge and genuine interest we’ve seen throughout the week have been fantastic.”
A gala dinner was held at Dubai’s Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan. Hosted by Techniline, the event welcomed over 150 guests, including systems integrators, installers, consultants and audio professionals from across the region. Alongside opportunities for networking, the evening featured industry awards, interactive games and entertainment, celebrating the partnerships and people contributing to the region’s professional audio industry.
“Soundcheck 2026 was a fantastic opportunity to bring our industry partners together, share knowledge and demonstrate exciting new audio technologies,” added Amrit Shivlani, CEO of Techniline. “We’re proud of our partnership with Wharfedale Pro and delighted with the response to this year’s event.”
