USSI Global elevates Ted Korte

USSI Global has promoted Ted Korte to chief technology officer (CTO), tasking him with overseeing engineering and technology development across its broadcast, network and digital signage businesses.

In his new role, Korte will extend the company’s engineering capabilities across its wider service portfolio, including digital signage, retail technology and electronics repair. Areas under consideration include audience analytics, IoT sensors, point-of-sale systems and specialised electronics.

Reporting to president and CEO Anthony Morelli, Korte will lead technology, engineering and technical management teams, with responsibilities including evaluating emerging technologies and developing systems to address changing customer requirements.

Korte joined USSI Global in 2021 as vice president of programme management and Innovation Lab, working on broadcast infrastructure projects related to the first C-band spectrum transition. He later took responsibility for the company’s engineering organisation as vice president of engineering and technology.

During his tenure, Korte has led the development of the company’s Media Transport Solutions Lab, a vendor-agnostic environment where broadcasters and media organisations can evaluate satellite, terrestrial IP, cloud and alternative connectivity technologies before large-scale deployment.

“Ted has played an instrumental role in transforming how USSI Global approaches technology, engineering and customer engagement,” said Morelli. “He has helped us move beyond simply implementing systems to becoming a trusted technical advisor that customers and technology partners turn to for answers, ideas and innovative solutions. His promotion to CTO recognises the leadership he has already demonstrated while positioning us to expand those capabilities across every part of our business.”
