Designed for rental companies and mobile sound reinforcement applications, the Elements MK2 modular column array from HK Audio can be adapted to meet the needs of different room sizes and requirements. Operating on the principle of a line array and providing a 90° horizontal dispersion, the Elements MK2 is equipped with a phase plug sound guide for uniform sound coverage and precisely controlled dispersion. The HK Audio SnapLock system reportedly enables quick, tool-free setup and the top modules, spacers and subwoofers are securely connected in a single step. Resistant to wear, dirt and mechanical stress, the robust contact surfaces promote clear signal transmissions and bypass the requirement for connecting cables.

The fully modular system can be operated with up to three top units and two subwoofers. The connected top units are automatically detected, with the DSP platform loading the appropriate filter for the required midrange compensation. With the Elements MK2 110 Sub A and MK2 115 Sub A versions, two subwoofer variants are available for low-frequency reproduction. In addition to combining both of the Elements subwoofers, the MK2 system can also integrate the Linear 5 MK2 115 Sub A.

The integrated DSP platform offers Flat, Contour, Voice and Remote presets, with the latter providing custom configurations. HK Audio’s DSP Control software provides extensive control and configuration options, while the Ethernet port enables both system control and Milan AVB audio streaming via a single network cable. Furthermore, the HK Audio Elements MK2, Linear 5 MK2 and Linear 9 can be operated and managed on the same network. The DSP-Out also allows for full control of additional active speakers that lack their own DSP or network capabilities, such as delay lines. The input signal can be processed and routed independently of the Elements MK2’s settings.
