Sommer shines underwater and outdoors

Specifically developed for fountain systems, interactive water features, architectural lighting installations or maritime applications, the SC-Aqua Marinex Power DMX hybrid cable has been added to the Sommer Cable catalogue. Combining power supply and DMX/AES/EBU data transmission in a single cable, the hybrid cable combines three power conductors (3x2.5mm²) and two conductors (2x2x0.22mm²) for DMX or AES/EBU signals in a single-cable assembly.

Eliminating the need for complex parallel cabling, the cable is further equipped with a durable PUR outer jacket for external use. Resistant to salt, fresh and chlorinated water, the water-impermeable protective banding prevents moisture from entering and spreading inside the cable. The high level of durability is complemented by halogen-free materials and resistance to UV radiation, microbes and cold. Even at low temperatures, the cable remains flexible for reeling onto a drum.

The SC-Aqua Marinex Power DMX is suitable for permanent installation in water depths of up to 20m and long-term outdoor installations during events. Combining power supply and DMX/AES/EBU data transmission, DMX lighting consoles, spotlights, underwater lights and control systems can be connected via a single cable.
