ATEN unveils KVM-over-IP extender

The KE6948A rugged DVI-I dual-display KVM-over-IP transmitter/receiver is ATEN’s first industrial-grade KVM-over-IP extender designed for operations in extreme environments. Meeting DNV certification requirements and compliant with IACS E10 and IEC 60945 standards, the maritime-certified model is designed for applications across land, air and sea, and has been designed to provide a foundation for KVM-over-IP deployments where continuous operation and system security are essential.

The hardware features a fanless passive heat dissipation design with an extruded chassis that facilitates airflow. Its conformal-coated PCB provides protection against humidity, dust and corrosion as well as salt-fog resistance and wide-temperature operation. The system has air-gapped security through hardware-level network isolation, separating the dedicated KVM-over-IP network from external networks to help safeguard infrastructure and data transmission. When integrated with ATEN’s CCKM (KVM-over-IP Matrix Manager), the system becomes part of a scalable, many-to-many KVM-over-IP matrix architecture.
