Ayrton flies high with the Falconer
The Falconer allows operators to control moving lights without needing to be positioned alongside the fixtures. A camera mounted on a compatible Ayrton fixture provides a view of the stage, allowing the operator to work from the most suitable position for each production. The system combines a broadcast-style fluid head with a camera-based workflow, giving operators control of moving lights from a dedicated base station. The control surface features two ergonomic handles and an 18.5-inch Full HD touchscreen monitor, alongside customisable buttons and faders. Controllable parameters include cyan, magenta, yellow, CTO, Colour Wheel 1, Colour Wheel 2, tint, dimmer, iris, zoom, focus, gobos and frost.
Presets combining any selection of parameters can be assigned to buttons on the handles or touchscreen. These can include fade in and fade out times, with options to hold, fade out or snap to zero when deactivated. An infrared mode also helps maintain a clear view of performers in low light conditions. A single Falconer base station can control up to 36 active fixtures. The system supports both autonomous operation and integration with a lighting console. Its 3D calibration system uses four reference points to establish fixture positions, allowing multiple fixtures to track the same point in space.
