Extron expands NAV platform
Extron has introduced the NAV E 522 switching encoder and NAV SD 521 switching scaling decoder, adding single cable USB-C connectivity and expanded USB extension to its NAV Pro AV-over-IP platform. The NAV E 522 supports USB-C and HDMI inputs, with USB-C carrying video, audio and USB data over a single cable, alongside optional power delivery. The NAV SD 521 decodes and scales NAV streams, with local HDMI source switching and USB device connectivity at the display endpoint.
Multiple NAV SD 521 decoders can connect USB peripherals across different locations and route them back to a single NAV E 522 host USB-C port. The system supports 4K@60fps with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, alongside audio and USB 2.0 or HID extension over standard 1Gbps Ethernet networks. Extron’s PURE3 codec provides lossless video, while Vector 4K scaling technology handles image scaling.
