ISE’s Spark expands for 2027 edition
Running alongside ISE 2027, Spark will move to Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue for its 2027 edition, expanding its exhibition space as the creative technology event builds on its inaugural year. Taking place on 3–4 February in Hall 8, Spark will feature more than 2,500m2 of exhibition space, two content stages and a series of immersive activations exploring the relationship between creativity and technology.
Organised by ISE, Spark attracted 2,086 visitors from 79 countries and 1,400 companies in 2026, with 39% of attendees holding senior decision-making positions.
“Spark is all about the magic that happens when you bring people with big creative ambitions together with the technology that can make those ideas possible,” said Mike Blackman, managing director of ISE. “For some time, we’ve known that content creators and technologists want to be in the same room and year one proved that for us. Year two is about giving them more room to build together, and with ISE running alongside, visitors can take what they discover at Spark straight to the people and expertise that can help make it real.”
Under the theme “The Art of And”, the 2027 programme will examine how creative disciplines, technologies and production approaches intersect. The Spark Arena will host paid-for sessions and discussions, while the free-to-attend Spark Forum will focus on practical insights and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Confirmed speakers include Cirque du Soleil technical director Simon Lachance, lighting designer Tim Routledge, RTVE director of systems and innovation Manuel Gómez Zotano and Hamill Industries co-founder Anna Diaz Ortuño.
The exhibition floor will also feature several immersive projects. Sol Garden, developed with Artdott and featured artist Reuko, will combine projection, sound and visual storytelling, with technology contributions from Barco, Ross Video and Intorno Labs. The Immersive Pavilion, presented by Immensive and Espronceda, will showcase XR experiences and world premieres.
The Lab of Tomorrow initiative, which connects innovators across the entertainment industry, will also return, alongside a Creator’s Lounge for networking and collaboration.
Registration is now open. A Spark or ISE badge will provide access to the Spark, ISE and EdTech Congress exhibition spaces.
