Media Links welcomes Mikhail Zavalin in EMEA

EMEA:

Strengthening its technical sales and pre-sales support across EMEA, Media Links has appointed Mikhail Zavalin as market development technical specialist for the region. Based in Norway, Zavalin will work with customers and partners on solutions design, technical presentations and proof-of-concept (POC) testing.

He will work alongside Cesare Camparada, head of market development, EMEA, supporting existing customers and new projects while gathering customer requirements and market insights to inform product development and support activities.

“Mikhail knows this market well and brings a positive, practical approach to getting things done,” said Al Nuñez, president of Media Links. “I’m pleased to have him on board. He and Cesare will make a strong team, giving us more capacity to work closely with customers and move projects forward across EMEA.”

Zavalin brings more than 20 years of technology experience, including nearly a decade in technical pre-sales and solutions engineering. His background covers IP networking, cloud infrastructure, video compression and content protection, with experience across production, contribution and distribution workflows.

Commenting on his appointment, Zavalin cited the breadth of the Media Links portfolio, which includes media gateways, control and network management software, switching and media-over-IP network technology. “My experience gives me a broad view of how everything connects,” he said. “When I’m working with a customer, I want to understand the full workflow. What happens either side of our technology matters just as much as the part we’re supplying. I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to Media Links and working with customers to understand what they need and how we can help.”
