NAMM adds live sound summit for 2027
Live sound professionals attending The NAMM Show 2027 will have a dedicated educational programme to explore touring technology and production workflows, with the inaugural TEC Tracks Live Sound Summit scheduled for January 27. The half-day summit will bring together FOH engineers and production crew to discuss developments, opportunities and operational challenges facing the live sound sector.
“Rapidly evolving stage technologies are changing the creative possibilities of high-level touring and the TEC Tracks Live Sound Summit will be the best place to learn from the experience of the road warriors and staging geniuses who are on the front line of this change,” said John Mlynczak, NAMM president and CEO. “This is the kind of practical session that makes The NAMM Show vital for live professionals. With a focus on the production and operational side of globally touring projects, it will cover the technologies people are deploying now, what’s coming next and how sound, lighting, visuals, automation and production infrastructure increasingly need to work as one system.”
The summit forms part of the show's wider professional audio education programme, which will include three days of Dante training from Audinate, hands-on mixing console sessions from several manufacturers and further training focused on live sound and production.
Running from 26–30 January at the Anaheim Convention Center, this year’s edition will feature a record number of demonstration rooms, alongside stages and performance areas across the show campus, giving visitors opportunities to hear equipment in operation.
Industry events will include the TEC Awards on 28 January, the Parnelli Awards on 29 January and the She Rocks Awards on 30 January. The Pro Audio Pool Party will also return on 28 January at the Anaheim Marriott.
